Come ease your way into duplicate bridge with players just like yourselves. These games are geared to beginners who need to practice and who need occasional help from the director in bidding. The game is slower paced than regular open games and more relaxed. Any player can play in these games, keeping in mind that less boards are played and that you may not qualify for MP if you have over 200 MP (although, players with 200+ MP are welcome to partner with novice friends in any of these games). Swiss Team Game* This is our Saturday night social. Sunday Aft 12:00pm Open Game A general review of our games: Weekday Morning Open games: These games are usually 2+section games. One section (A) is more challenging than section (B). Any player may choose whichever section they would like to play in. These games consist of 21-28 boards (usually 24) at a pace of about 7 minutes a board (slightly slower in the (B) section). Weekday Evening Open games: These games are usually 1-section games. All level of players play together. These games consist of 21-28 boards (usually 24) at a pace of about 7 minutes a board. Saturday Afternoon Open games: These games are usually 2-section games. All level of players play together. These games consist of 21-28 boards (usually 24) at a pace of about 7 minutes a board. Sunday Afternoon Open games: These games are usually 1-section games. All level of players play together. These games consist of 21-28 boards (usually 24) at a pace of about 7 minutes a board. Wednesday Evening Open games: These games are usually 1-section. The director changes the format of play week-to-week (Barometer pairs, IMP scoring, Fast Pairs, etc). These games consist of 21-28 boards (usually 24) at a pace of about 6 minutes a board. This game is quickly becoming a favorite for players who like to change things up, play bridge and get home early! New-plicate/Learning games: These games are smaller and usually 1-section. These games are geared to beginners who need to practice and who need occasional help from the director in bidding. The game is very relaxed and a total of 15-18 boards are played at a pace of approx. 10-12 minutes a board. Any player can play in these games, keeping in mind that they may not qualify for MP if they have over 199 MP (Wed pm max is 499 MP). NOTE: SINGLES ALWAYS WELCOME! Single players are asked to notify us as early as possible and asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to game time to insure partnerships. ALL PLAYERS are asked to arrive 15 minute prior to any game time to insure that our directors can properly set-up and start each game on time. We thank you in advance.
