If you have never played in a duplicate bridge game or have played for years with friends at the kitchen table, this event is for you!

The Sagamore Bridge Club invites you to come see what all the fuss is about when it comes to Duplicate Bridge!

We recognize that many "kitchen bridge" or "rubber bridge" players don't come to play for a few different reasons.

Let's bust the "Myths" of duplicate bridge:

Myth: I am not experienced enough to compete in a club game.
Fact: All of our games are structured to fit all different levels of players from Novice to Expert.

Myth: I am afraid to make mistakes that will get the attention of the director.I will be embarrassed. Fact: Most dir ector calls are made to assist in judgements to protect YOU, not embarrass you. Actually, the Sagamore BC has a policy that implores seasoned members NOT to call a director on new members. Once you get comfortable enough, you will see that it is not so scary and definitely not embarrassing. Before you know it, you will be calling over the director on us!

Myth: I enjoy playing bridge at home and don't see the point of going to a club game.
Fact: You have to come see it, and try it, to believe it. Duplicate is the most exciting game of bridge your will ever play! Did you know that most duplicate bridge players never go back to playing kitchen bridge? They love it that much.

Myth: I can't play in a club game without a partner.
Fact: We will ALWAYS find you a partner of equal skill.

Myth: I won't know how to use the bidding box, therefore, I can't play.
Fact: The bidding box doesn't bite and is quite simple.Besides, we will show you the in's and out's of the cards within minutes of our seminar.

Myth: I will not know anyone.
Fact: Neither will anyone else at this event (unless they come together). That's the point!Come make new fri ends who share your interest in bridge.After all, it is the social aspect of the game that keeps members playing in club games.

Join us for a splendid event! Bridge topics will be discussed, tips on play will be offered, we will play bridge, share lunch with our new friends and then...play MORE bridge!

Remember, ev eryone attending is JUST LIKE YOU...New to Duplicate. Our friendly directors and fel low members of our club will be o n hand to answer any questions you have and to assist you with the wonderful world of duplicate bridge.

Pot Starts at $50 and $10 is added at each qualified session that the Jackpot is not hit-- NO upper limit!

TO WIN JACKPOT:

Rules:

If two or more pairs hit the Jackpot in the same session, the jackpot will be divided evenly between the winning pairs.

-*To be eligible to win, both players in a pair must be paid patrons. Guests and House players of the Sagamore are welcome to pay $1.00 BEFORE any jackpot game to establish eligibility of their pair during that game session.

-Winners will not receive winnings of jackpot for a minimum of 48 hours after completion of game to allow for corrections.

-No corrections will be made after 48 hours of completion of game.

-Rulings by directors of Sagamore bridge club are final.
